This project reinterprets the townhouse typology through a bespoke residential lens. Conceived as ‘fraternal twins,’ the two homes share architectural DNA yet express their individuality through nuanced variations in layout and detailing.

The homes are deliberately staggered to maximise solar access and are oriented toward expansive views of Queens Park, while maintaining privacy and acoustic separation from the busy street. A layered façade strategy employs finely crafted timber screens, private outdoor zones, and operable glazing to negotiate the threshold between public and private life.

Internally, a central vertical core introduces light and ventilation deep into the plan. The layout revolves around an open-plan living area complete well-articulated central kitchen hub. Private zones are positioned on the upper levels, culminating in a top-floor master suite that offers a serene retreat from the activity below.

Set within an eclectic context – surrounded by a pub, apartment blocks, and Federation-era houses—the project navigates these challenges and offers a thoughtful, high-quality urban insertion rooted in craftsmanship and care.
